Correlation and Path Coefficient Analysis for Yield and Its Related Traits in Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench)

نویسندگان

چکیده

An experiment was carried out to study the correlation and path analysis in 40 buckwheat genotypes during Rabi, 2021-2022 at Department of Genetics Plant Breeding, SHIATS, Allahabad Randomized BlºCk Design with three replications analyze Analysis. Analysis variance showed significant difference for seed yield its components indicating presence large amount variability genotypes. The magnitude GCV PCV recorded highest economic yield, plant height, time beginning flowering, number branches, test weight, days 50% flowering. High heritability coupled high genetic advance as percent mean 80% maturity. Seed per a highly positive weight maturity both genotypic phenotypic levels. Path revealed that flowering registered direct effect on plant. It suggests there is true relationship between these traits, selection traits will be beneficial improvement.

EFFECT OF BEES-POLLINATORS IN BUCKWHEAT (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) CROPS

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of bee pollination of buckwheat crops on the seed productivity and plant development. Six plots each 4 m2 in size were arranged in a buckwheat field. Four plots in the field were isolated by a net. Nucs with bees were placed in two of the plots (one per plot). Plant productivity, height of plants and number of branches per marked plant...

Seed-specific Aspartic Proteinase Feap12 from Buckwheat (fagopyrum Esculentum Moench)

Aspartic proteinase gene (FeAP12) has been isolated from the cDNA library of developing buckwheat seeds. Analysis of its deduced amino acid sequence showed that it resembled the structure and shared high homology with typical plant aspartic proteinases (AP) characterized by the presence of a plant-specific insert (PSI), unique among APs. It was shown that FeAP12 mRNA was not present in the leav...

Composition And Functional Properties Of Common Buckwheat (Fagopyrum Esculentum Moench) Flour And Starch

Buckwheat, a pseudo cereal, is an alternative crop belonging to the family Polygonaceae. Buckwheat is generally grouped with cereals due to similarity in cultivation and utilization though it is not cereal grain. Two types of buckwheat are used around the world: common buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) and tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum) depending on the production zone. Generally...
